Since 2020, Momentum Education has been helping students throughout their post-secondary education to ensure they secure a job and earn a living wage. Our mission is to provide academic, career, and financial support to help first-generation, low-income students earn a post-secondary education and secure a job with a living wage.

How We Do It
Working with High School Students
Momentum's High School Fellowship helps first-generation, low-income high school students become college-ready and successfully enroll in post-secondary education through Test Preparation and Post-Secondary Enrollment support.
Test Preparation consists of five-week SAT bootcamps to help students earn college-ready scores on their SAT or TSI. Once students meet this milestone, they receive individualized Post-Secondary Enrollment Support from their Momentum Advisor. This includes personalized support throughout the summer after graduation until their first day of class and is meant to help students avoid "summer melt."
Students who earn a college-ready score and successfully enroll and matriculate at a post-secondary institution receive a $1,000 stipend, rewarding their hard work and commitment to their future.
The High School Fellowship also helps partner school districts improve College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) outcomes, generating additional state funding that benefits both districts and students. Our partnerships create a sustainable funding model that expands educational opportunities for students while strengthening our long-term impact.
Working with Post-Secondary Students
The Post-Secondary Fellowship provides post-secondary students with Academic Advising and Career Support. Academic Advising is provided through monthly check-in surveys. Based on responses, the students' Advisor checks in and connects them with campus or community resources. Students earn a $20 micro-stipend for completing each survey and may earn an additional $150 per semester for maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. The funding from this grant will be used to fund student stipends.
We provide Career Support through our Career Mentorship program. We match students with a Career Mentor who meets with them monthly to provide career guidance, expand their professional network, explore career pathways, and support internship and job searches.
